The Registry

This site was conceived and its design collaborated by Triumph Stag Enthusiasts David Redfern and Glenn Merrell. Dave built all of site functions himself over several years of work.  The online registry designed to cater for all Stags all over the world regardless of club affiliation.  Ok it requires your commission number and some other info but there is little point in setting up a registry unless people can get some useful information out of it.  To that end you can:

Add /Edit /Delete a Stag

Print a certificate that states your registration

View reports based on Country / Area /Engine type/ RHD-LHD . ... and more... Much Much More..

Once registered you can mark your stag as "For Sale" or even "Stolen"  allowing an entire web community to keep a look out for a buyer or the guy that made off with your pride and joy.

Area's for comments and modifications.

        * Now you can do a keyword search on the comments and modifications sections..!

During registration you can enter the condition of the stag you are registering as there are several condition values ranging from scrapped to Concours so EVERY Stag dead or alive has a place here.

Please support my efforts on this site by registering you Stag(s).

Going Spare / Wanted

Is free, just make a note of your ID and password so you can delete any items you have added.  Use this to advertise Stag parts or  Look for that elusive part.

Please note however that in order to keep the entries current they will automatically be deleted after 60 days.

Parts Index

Searchable listing of all part numbers & associated diagrams. Ability to add alternative parts to the list annotated with your own comments etc.

TIPS-TRICKS-MODS

Share your Tip Trick or mod with the rest of the Stag owning community. You may even associate your entry with a diagram from the parts index  and or URL with a link to further infomation.

Also added the ability to do a keyword search!

Technical Area

Based mainly on the preliminary service manual, no doubt it will be updated and improved as time goes by, it is NOT meant to be a replacement The Discussion Forum / Mailing list ggestions!

The Discussion forum is a web based forum for stag owners and enthusiasts to exchange views and knowedge about the Triumph Stag

all technical questions and requests for advice should be posted here. please do not ask them in the comments section of the site.

There are basically two seperate information sources trying to work together here.
The triumphstag.net web site has a web based discussion forum on it and Richard Welty has the Triumph Stag mailing list. So that there were not two seperate places for sharing Knowledge about the Triumph Stag when i put together the web forum at TriumphStag.net i tried to get the web forum and the mailing list to pass information between each other.

Explanation:

What should be happening is that when someone sends a mail to the mailing list, a copy is also posted on the web based forum at Triumphstag.net. Only on the web forum will the post appear with :

------------------------------------------
"Posted to The Discussion Forum From the Triumph Stag Mailing list"
--------------------------------------------

at the bottom of it so that Web users know that the mail was originated from the mailing list.

The other Scenario is that someone enters data direct into the web based forum, a copy is also emailed to everyone on the mailing list. This copy sent to the mailing list will have :

----------------------------------------------------------------
"This message was sent to the Stag Mailing list from: Triumph Stag Discussion
Forum.
http://www.triumphstag.net/start/phorum/read.php?f=1&i=6885&t=6885
WWW.TriumphStag.net
Technical Data, Spares & Wanted, Online Registry, Live chat, Links"
----------------------------------------------------------------

at the bottom of it.

I added this information so that it would be obvious to the people who subscribe to the mailing list that a comment or post had arrived via triumhpstag.net and also to those who use the web forum it should be obvious that a post has come from the mailing list.

The Web forum tries to keep discussion Topics grouped together regardless of where the originator (web forum or mailing list). I know its not always perfect but it has been running now for a couple of years and has i hope served at least two purposes:

1) Increased awareness about Richards mailing list

2) Opened up the discussion about Triumph Stags to a wider audience.

Appologies if it occaisionally causes a little bit of confusion in the ranks.

Hope this explains things ...at least a little.

Stag mailing list  (Which is Provided by Krustymotorsports.com and not by me)

I Can't stress how valuable I have found the Mailing list and suggest that you sub

scribe to it if you can.

Links

Well in an effort to put some control to you I  have split the links up and added the ability for you to add your own links. Please be sensible when adding them. The sections are :

Stag Clubs        - Clubs that cater for the Triumph Stag

Stag Owners Homepages - Put your Stag homepage up here

Stag parts Suppliers - Suppliers that cater for the Triumph Stag

Related Links - Triumph related links that do not fall into the above two categories

Tell me what you want what you want.......what you  really really want!!

The hardest part of putting a web site together is second guessing what people want.  LET ME KNOW! please please put you comments and suggestions in the Site Discussion Forum.

Suppliers Special Deals  (August-2001)

Suppliers can advertise offers on this site free of charge. You will need to contact me with a pin number first.

Failing that have fun,  Started Design 14-December 2000 and launched 1 - January-2001.

Parts of the  site are  very much under construction (specifically some areas of the Technical Area) If you want to contribute suitable content then that would be gratefully received. Remember that I have designed the site to allow you to add content directly to share with the rest of the Stag owning community.
